Monetary

Goodwill is deeply grateful for the support of each and every donor. Together, we can offer people hope, dignity and independence by providing them with the means to create better lives for themselves and their families—and our communities.

A one-time gift makes it possible for Goodwill to deliver job training and educational opportunities to people at no cost to them. Your gift is 100% tax-deductible and someone in your community will get the hand up they need to get back on their feet.

Monthly sustained giving is an easy and affordable way to make an impact on someone’s life. As a Goodwill sustained donor, you provide ongoing support that is automatically charged to your credit card each month until you tell us you want to make a change. Goodwill relies on monthly gifts to help our participants go back to work.

Legacy Gifts

Goodwill offers a wide-range of planned gift options for you to choose. Making a planned gift ensures our ability to continue our mission to help every person reach their fullest potential through education, job placement, and career pathway services.

A charitable bequest of any size or form is one of the most generous and thoughtful ways to make a lasting impact on the community organizations that mean the most to you.

We offer several ways for you to give while securing your family’s financial future.

  • Wills and estates (bequests)
  • Charitable gift annuities
  • Charitable remainder uni trusts
  • Endowed scholarships
  • Retirement assets

Consider making a gift of:

  • Real estate
  • A percentage of your estate
  • A specific asset or cash amount
  • Residue of your estate
  • Cash
  • Life insurance
  • Retirement accounts

Resources

Stock

Stocks, bonds or any other securities can be transferred as gifts. Giving the gift of stock also has benefits for the giver. If the stock has appreciated in value, the holder can avoid paying the capital gains tax by giving it as a gift. Your tax deduction will be determined at the time the option is exercised by Goodwill and is equal to the difference between the option price and the stock value.

It is the policy of Goodwill to immediately convert all stock transfers received to cash at the time of the gift.
