Donation Guidelines

Goodwill turns your donations into jobs benefiting your community through education and job training opportunities for people with barriers to employment.  We accept a wide range of gently used items that are in working an sellable condition.  However, there are items that we cannot accept that are deemed to be broken, hazardous or toxic, recalled or are items that are not sellable in their current condition. Please review the lists below if you have any questions. or contact your local Goodwill store. While we take every effort to keep the following list up-to-date, sometimes we must stop taking an item before it makes our list.

Our donation attendants are required to decline the items listed in the red section in consideration of team member and shopper safety and the high cost of disposal.

Our Attended Donation Stations (Trailers) have less capacity so we recommend taking your larger items like furniture, directly to a store location.

Goodwill offers the following reference list as possible alternatives for items we cannot accept. It is recommended that you call ahead for operating hours and acceptance guidelines
